Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

Crispy phyllo rolls filled with feta, dill, and garlic, baked to golden perfection and served with sweet-spicy chili honey drizzle.[1]

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled[1]
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped[1]
  • 1 clove garlic, grated[1]
  • 18 sheets phyllo dough, thawed[1]
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing[1]
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter[1]
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chili flakes[1]
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds[1]
  • ⅓ cup honey[1]

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.[1]
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled feta cheese, chopped dill, and grated garlic until well blended.[1]
  3. Lay out 3 sheets of phyllo dough, brush lightly with olive oil, add a line of feta mixture along the edge, and roll tightly into a log. Repeat to make all rolls.[1]
  4. Lightly brush the tops of the assembled rolls with olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.[1]
  5. While the rolls are baking, melt the butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the chili flakes and cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in the honey.[1]

Notes

Phyllo dough dries out quickly, so keep unused sheets covered with a damp towel while working. These rolls can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving. The chili honey pairs perfectly with the salty feta for a sweet-spicy contrast.[1][2]
