Maple Glazed Apple Blondies
- 2 cups 250g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup 170g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups 300g packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 medium apples (about 2 cups, peeled and diced)
- 1/4 cup 60g unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup 120ml pure maple syrup
- 1 cup 120g powdered sugar
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in diced apples, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
