Festive chocolate chip cookies loaded with semisweet and white chocolate chips, enhanced with holiday sprinkles for a wintery feel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Holiday sprinkles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in semisweet and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop rounded tablespoons of dough about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Optionally roll the dough balls in holiday sprinkles before placing on the sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
  10. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can add crushed candy canes for a peppermint twist. Decorating with festive sprinkles enhances the holiday feel.
