For the Crust:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and evaporated milk over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until sugars dissolve and mixture reaches 240°F (soft-ball stage) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla extract, and pecan halves until well combined.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto parchment paper and let cool completely before serving.
