Tremendous Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli

A deliciously cheesy and savory stromboli filled with melted mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese, baked to golden perfection. Perfect as a hearty appetizer or main dish.

  • 1 package pizza dough (about 10 oz)
  • 8 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over half of the dough.
  4. Layer sliced pepperoni over the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the pepperoni.
  6. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
  7. Brush the top of the stromboli with melted butter.
  8. Cut a few small slits on top to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh pizza dough and high-quality cheeses. You can add Italian herbs like oregano or basil to the sauce for extra flavor. Let the stromboli rest a few minutes after baking to prevent the cheese from oozing out when sliced.
