Bacon Cheeseburger Lasagna

A unique lasagna combining the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with traditional lasagna elements.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 slices of bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices white American cheese
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • Diced dill pickles, fresh tomatoes, red onion, shredded iceberg lettuce for toppings

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Add crumbled bacon to the skillet and stir to combine.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  6. In another bowl, combine tomato sauce, ketchup, and spicy brown mustard.
  7. Layer lasagna noodles, meat mixture, ricotta mixture, and cheese in a baking dish.
  8. Repeat layers two more times, ending with cheese on top.
  9. Bake at 375°F for about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
