Steak Pinwheels

Juicy steak rolled with savory fillings, sliced into elegant pinwheels, and cooked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb flank steak, pounded thin
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped spinach, drained
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Lay the pounded flank steak flat on a cutting board. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the steak, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle chopped spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning over the cream cheese.
  4. Roll the steak tightly from one end to the other, securing with toothpicks or kitchen twine every inch.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the rolled steak on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice into 1-inch pinwheels before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
