Savory Maple Bacon Pork Chops with Dijon Mustard Cream Sauce

A delicious and comforting meal that combines tender pork chops with the richness of bacon, the sweetness of maple syrup, and the tang of Dijon mustard.

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Rub the marinade over both sides of the pork chops.
  3. Grill or pan-sear the pork chops until desired level of doneness. Top each pork chop with crumbled bacon.
  4. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in milk and heavy cream. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened.
  7. Stir in Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  8. Pour the sauce over the pork chops.

Notes

For a spicier sauce, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
