Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out crescent rolls and press into a greased cookie sheet to form the crust.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground sausage over medium heat until browned; remove sausage and set aside, reserving drippings.
  4. Add flour to the sausage drippings and whisk to form a roux; gradually whisk in heavy cream and cook until thickened to make sausage gravy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour sausage gravy evenly over the crescent roll crust; sprinkle cooked sausage over the gravy.
  6. In the same skillet, scramble the eggs until just set; spread scrambled eggs over the sausage layer.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese evenly.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and garnish with sliced green onions or chopped parsley if desired before serving.
