Sausage Cheese Dip

A creamy, cheesy dip loaded with spicy sausage, perfect for parties and game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  2. Reduce heat to low and add the softened cream cheese to the skillet with the sausage. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and well combined.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir continuously until all the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped green onions or chives.
  5. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier dip, increase the crushed red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce. This dip can be made ahead and reheated gently before serving.
