Salted Caramel Chocolate Chunk Muffins

Decadent muffins loaded with chocolate chunks and swirled with homemade salted caramel sauce for the perfect sweet and salty treat.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chunks.
  4. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Drizzle 1 tsp caramel sauce over each muffin and swirl with a toothpick.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
