Salted Caramel Banana Bread

A moist and flavorful banana bread swirled with salted caramel for a sweet and savory treat.

For the Crust:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half the salted caramel sauce over the batter, then swirl with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and caramel.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with additional caramel and sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
