Ooey-Gooey Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza Pockets

Delicious pizza pockets filled with savory ground beef, crispy bacon, gooey cheese, and classic cheeseburger flavors, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onions until beef is browned and onions are translucent. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, diced pickles, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and mix in cooked bacon and both cheeses.
  5. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 6-8 equal squares.
  6. Spoon the cheeseburger mixture onto one half of each dough square, leaving edges clear.
  7. Fold the dough over to form pockets and press edges with a fork to seal.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Place pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, brush the pockets with a little olive oil before baking. These pockets freeze well; reheat in the oven for best texture.
