Mouth-watering Cherry Cobbler Bars

Delicious cherry cobbler bars with a buttery crust and sweet cherry filling.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add the egg and mix until the dough comes together. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In another bowl, combine cherries, brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Spread the cherry mixture over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining dough over the cherry layer. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
