Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole

A rich and creamy casserole that’s a delicious twist on lasagna, featuring layers of ravioli, Italian sausage, and a blend of cheeses baked to perfection.

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 (28-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (25-ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, parsley, and garlic powder. Add the frozen ravioli and gently toss to coat.
  4. Spread the ravioli mixture evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  5. Pour the meat sauce over the ravioli layer and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly throughout.
  7. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole is a great make-ahead meal and reheats well. For a vegetarian version, substitute the sausage with sautéed mushrooms or a meatless alternative.
