Luscious Cinnamon Streusel Pear Muffins

Deliciously moist muffins with juicy pear chunks and a crunchy cinnamon streusel topping.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups diced ripe pears
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for streusel)
  • 1/4 cup flour (for streusel)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for streusel)
  • 2 tbsp cold butter (for streusel)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced pears. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.
  5. Make streusel by combining brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cold butter with fingers until crumbly. Sprinkle over muffin batter.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
