For the Crust:
- 1 box brownie mix (plus required oil, eggs, and water)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with 12 cupcake liners.
- Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions. Fill each liner 2/3 full with batter.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls onto brownie batter.
- Use a toothpick to swirl the cheesecake mixture into the brownie batter. Top with chocolate chips and nuts.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until set. Let cool completely before serving. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
