A simple and delicious pecan pie bar recipe featuring a buttery crust topped with a gooey, sweet pecan filling. Perfect for an easy holiday dessert or anytime treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cold and cut into pieces
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly.
  3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Bake the crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Stir in chopped pecans into the filling mixture.
  7. Pour the pecan filling evenly over the hot crust.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 35 minutes until the filling is set and bubbly.
  9. Allow bars to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For best results, use cold butter to achieve a crumbly crust texture. Let the bars cool fully to allow the filling to set properly, making them easier to cut and serve.
