Key Lime Pound Cake – Zesty, Moist & Sweet!

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup key lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons key lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Alternately add the flour mixture and sour cream to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour. Stir in key lime juice, zest, and vanilla.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
