Joe’s Crab Shack Crab Dip

A creamy, cheesy crab dip inspired by the popular restaurant appetizer, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 lb lump crabmeat, drained and picked over for shells
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat together cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the crabmeat, being careful not to break up the lumps.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm with crackers, bread, or vegetables.

Notes

For best results, use fresh lump crabmeat. The dip can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking. Adjust cayenne pepper to taste for more or less heat.
