For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
- Fold in half of the peach slices. Pour batter into the prepared pan and arrange remaining peach slices on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before serving.
