For the Crust:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/4 cup sea salt flakes (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Press firmly into the prepared pan to form the base.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool slightly. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes to melt chocolate, then spread evenly.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and sea salt flakes if desired. Chill for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
