For the Crust:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sea salt flakes (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Press firmly into the prepared pan to form the base.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool slightly. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes to melt chocolate, then spread evenly.
  5. Garnish with chopped nuts and sea salt flakes if desired. Chill for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
