Holiday Meatballs with Cranberry Orange Sauce

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberry sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  5. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce, gently tossing to coat. Simmer for 5 minutes before serving.
