Hobo Casserole Ground Beef

A hearty, one-pan casserole with seasoned ground beef, potatoes, and vegetables, baked to perfection for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes, onions, and carrots in the prepared baking dish. Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the vegetables.
  4. In a bowl, mix the condensed soup with milk; pour over the beef and vegetables. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
