Heavenly Churro Cake

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce for topping

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Let cake cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
