Hamburger Noodle Soup

A hearty and comforting soup combining ground beef, vegetables, and egg noodles in a flavorful broth, perfect for a satisfying meal.

  • 2 cups egg noodles or your favorite sturdy pasta
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion, sliced celery, and sliced carrots; cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Stir in oregano, basil, and seasoned salt.
  6. Pour in beef broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Add egg noodles and reduce heat to a simmer.
  8. Cook until noodles are tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade beef broth or add a splash of Worcestershire sauce. You can also add other vegetables like peas or corn for extra nutrition.
