Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki

Juicy turkey meatballs infused with Greek flavors, served with a refreshing homemade tzatziki sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, red onion, garlic, oregano, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs bake, prepare the tzatziki by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, fresh dill, and garlic in a bowl. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Serve the meatballs warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
