Garlic Parmesan Chicken Tortellini and Broccoli

A creamy and savory dish combining tender chicken, cheese tortellini, and broccoli in a garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for a quick and comforting weeknight meal.

  • 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen broccoli florets
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add cooked chicken and broccoli to the skillet; cook until heated through.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream; bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and freshly minced garlic. You can substitute fresh broccoli for frozen if preferred. This dish reheats well and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
