Fried Pineapple Rings

Crispy, golden-fried pineapple rings with a sweet and tangy flavor, perfect as a snack or dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 large pineapple, peeled and sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cold sparkling water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Gradually add sparkling water, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Dip each pineapple ring into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated, then carefully place it into the hot oil.
  4. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with honey.
