Easy French Onion Potato Bake

A comforting and flavorful potato bake with the rich taste of French onion soup.

For the Crust:

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish. Sprinkle half of the French onion soup mix over the potatoes.
  3. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and soup mix.
  4. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and black pepper. Pour over the potatoes.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
