Crockpot Cheesy Beef and Noodles

A hearty and comforting dish featuring tender beef, cheesy goodness, and perfectly cooked noodles, all made easy in a crockpot.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then transfer it to the crockpot.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the crockpot.
  3. Stir well and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-3.5 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, add the uncooked egg noodles to the crockpot.
  5. Let the noodles cook until they are tender.
  6. Top the noodle mixture with shredded cheddar cheese and cover for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with a little cold water and add it to the crockpot during the last 10 minutes of cooking. You can also use a brown gravy mix packet to enhance the flavor.
