For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and sugar until crumbly. Press evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle pecans over the crust.
- In a saucepan, melt caramel candies with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour caramel over the pecans.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Return to the oven for 5 minutes to melt the chocolate. Spread evenly with a spatula.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
