One Pan Baked Cheesy Basil Pasta

A simple and delicious one-pan pasta dish with gooey cheese and fresh basil.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, combine pasta, vegetable broth, heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in half of the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
  5. Sprinkle remaining cheeses on top and bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
