Bacon Maple Glazed Donut Grilled Cheese

A decadent sandwich featuring crispy bacon, gooey melted cheese, and a drizzle of maple syrup, all sandwiched between a buttery, golden-brown glazed donut.

  • 1 glazed yeast doughnut
  • 2 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked
  • 3 slices muenster cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • maple syrup, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Slice the doughnut in half width-wise to create two slices. Cut the bacon in half crosswise. Cut each cheese slice into 3 strips.
  2. Flip one doughnut slice so the cut side faces out. Overlap cheese strips on top, add bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup. Top with remaining cheese and the second doughnut half, cut side out.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter and swirl to melt. Place sandwich in pan and cook until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 1 minute per side. Cut and serve.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne to the maple syrup. Use a non-stick skillet for best results. This sandwich is best enjoyed immediately while the cheese is still gooey.
