For the Crust:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced apples
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples and spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While warm, whisk powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze and drizzle over the cake.
