For the Crust:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples and spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While warm, whisk powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze and drizzle over the cake.
