For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place chicken breasts in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let soak for at least 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, panko, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture.
- Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
