A warm, crispy flatbread topped with melted brie, tart cranberries, toasted walnuts, and finished with a sweet and spicy maple syrup drizzle, perfect for an elegant appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 flatbreads or naan (mini naan recommended)
  • 6 oz brie cheese, sliced (rind on or off)
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/3 cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 12 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves picked

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
  2. Brush each flatbread lightly with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Arrange slices of brie evenly across the flatbreads.
  4. Sprinkle dried cranberries and toasted walnuts over the brie.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the brie is melted and flatbreads are crisp and golden.
  6. While baking, combine maple syrup and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan and warm gently over low heat for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  7. Once flatbreads are out of the oven, drizzle generously with the warm maple syrup mixture.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves.
  9. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute dried cranberries with other dried fruits like dates, apricots, or tart cherries. Nuts can also be swapped according to preference. Use mini naan for best results and serve immediately for optimal crispness.
