Creamy Parmesan Steak & Sweet Corn Bowtie

A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender steak, sweet corn, bowtie pasta, and a savory Parmesan sauce, perfect for a comforting and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove steak and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and flour, stirring constantly over medium heat for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, bringing the mixture to a low boil and stirring until thickened, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta, sweet corn, and cooked steak, tossing gently to combine and heat through.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use fresh sweet corn when in season for maximum sweetness. You can substitute steak with chicken or shrimp for variation. Leftovers reheat well with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
