  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk until fully combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Sprinkle nutmeg evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 25-30 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Let cool completely before serving.
