Cranberry Brie and Mozzarella Grilled Sandwich

A delicious grilled sandwich featuring the creamy richness of brie, the mild melt of mozzarella, and the tart sweetness of cranberry sauce, all on crusty bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices sourdough or crusty bread
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces brie cheese, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place bread slices, buttered side down, on a work surface.
  3. Spread cranberry sauce evenly over 4 slices of bread.
  4. Layer shredded mozzarella and thinly sliced brie on top of the cranberry sauce.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Carefully flip sandwiches and cook until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes more.
  8. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then cut in half and serve.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, high-quality brie and mozzarella. Adjust cranberry sauce to taste for more or less tartness. This sandwich is excellent with a pinch of flaky sea salt added before serving.
