For the Crust:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- Blue food coloring (as needed)
- 1 cup crushed chocolate chip cookies
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add blue food coloring until desired color is achieved (typically 5-10 drops).
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
- In the last 5 minutes of churning, add the crushed cookies and mini chocolate chips.
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
