Christmas Tree Cheese Ball

A festive Christmas tree-shaped cheese ball appetizer made with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and holiday seasonings, decorated with cherry tomatoes, parsley, almonds, and peppers. Perfect for holiday parties and gatherings.

  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 jar (4 ounces) diced pimientos, drained
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • Sliced peppers for garnish
  • Assorted crackers and pretzels for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fully softened.
  2. Beat in cheddar cheese, green onions, pimientos, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour until firm enough to shape.
  4. Roll and press the cheese ball mixture into the shape of a Christmas tree with a pointed top, using your hands on a clean kitchen counter.
  5. Garnish first with cherry tomato halves, then add chopped parsley, followed by sliced almonds and pepper slices to decorate like ornaments.
  6. Serve with assorted crackers and pretzels.

Notes

The cheese mixture can be shaped into a cone by hand or using a rubber spatula for easier handling. For best presentation, refrigerate decorated tree for 15-30 minutes before serving. You can customize decorations with different vegetables or nuts based on preference.
