Chicken Bacon Ranch Tater Tot Casserole

A creamy, cheesy casserole combining chicken, bacon, ranch seasoning, and crispy tater tots for a comforting and flavorful dish.

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend (8 oz)
  • 1 package (1 oz) ranch dressing & seasoning mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 bag (32 oz) Ore-Ida™ Tater Tots™ frozen potatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; sauté chopped onion until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, ranch seasoning mix, black pepper, shredded chicken, cooked bacon, sautéed onion, shredded cheese, and chopped tomatoes; mix well.
  4. Spread mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
  6. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle sliced green onions on top before serving.

Notes

For best results, use freshly cooked chicken and bacon. You can substitute cheddar cheese if preferred. Garnish with green onions for added freshness and color.
