Chicken Bacon Crunch Casserole

A creamy and crunchy chicken casserole layered with crispy bacon and topped with a buttery cracker crust, perfect for a comforting family meal.

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups crushed buttery crackers (such as Ritz)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix crushed buttery crackers with melted butter until well coated.
  5. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or a dash of hot sauce to the chicken mixture. This casserole can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving for convenience.
