Chicken Alfredo Tater Tot Casserole

A creamy, cheesy casserole combining shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, tater tots, and cheese for a comforting family meal.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 package (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix Alfredo sauce, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add cooked chicken and stir until fully coated in the Alfredo mixture.
  4. Spread the creamy mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Add bacon bits if using.
  5. Arrange frozen tater tots in a neat layer on top of the chicken mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the tater tots.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tater tots are crispy.
  8. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use rotisserie chicken for convenience and flavor. You can add steamed broccoli for extra nutrition. Letting the casserole rest after baking helps it set for easier serving.
