Cheesy Taco Sticks

Cheesy Taco Sticks are a quick and easy appetizer or snack made with seasoned ground beef, cheese sticks, and pizza dough, baked until golden and served with favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough
  • 5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned and crumbled, drain fat, mix in taco seasoning (no water), and cool to room temperature.
  2. Spread pizza dough flat, cut in half lengthwise then into 4 cuts across to make 10 rectangles. Place 1 tablespoon taco meat and a halved cheese stick in center of each, roll up tightly, and pinch seams closed.
  3. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley; brush on tops. Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Serve hot with salsa, sour cream, or other taco toppings.

Notes

Use 2 tubes of pizza dough if you prefer larger sticks with more filling. Ground turkey can substitute for beef for a lighter option. Watch closely to avoid overbrowning bottoms.
