Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Toast

Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Toast features a classic sloppy Joe mixture on top of garlic bread topped with cheese and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • ½ Yellow Onion, diced
  • 8 ounces Tomato Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 8 Frozen Garlic Toast slices
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a hot skillet over medium-high heat add the ground beef and chopped onions. Cook until no pink is visible inside the meat, then drain off any leftover grease.
  2. Add in the tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined then bring to a simmer.
  3. Place the garlic toast on a baking sheet, then top each piece with some of the sloppy joe mixture followed by shredded cheese.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes or until the bread is warm and the cheese is melted.

Notes

If the cheese starts to brown too quickly, cover the baking sheet with foil and continue baking until the toast is warm. Leftover sloppy Joe mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and used for sandwiches later. For a shortcut, use store-bought sloppy Joe mix with browned beef.
