Barb’s Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

A delicious and healthy salad featuring broccoli, cauliflower, and a tangy dressing.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cups cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bacon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine broccoli and cauliflower florets.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, mustard, horseradish, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until well coated.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, and chopped bacon.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

This salad is perfect for picnics or potlucks. You can adjust the amount of horseradish to suit your taste. For a lighter version, reduce the amount of mayonnaise and sour cream.
