Breakfast Grilled Cheese Eggs

A delicious breakfast sandwich combining grilled cheese with eggs cooked inside the bread for a hearty and satisfying morning meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. Place one slice of bread in the skillet and top with a slice of cheese.
  3. Crack one egg onto the bread and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top and add the remaining butter to the skillet.
  5. Cook until the bottom bread is golden brown and the egg is set, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then slice and serve.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet for easier flipping. For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or avocado slices inside the sandwich.
