Black Pepper Asiago Crackers

Crispy, cheesy crackers with a bold black pepper kick, perfect for snacking or pairing with dips.

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 34 tablespoons ice water

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine flour, Asiago cheese, salt, and black pepper. Pulse to mix.
  3. Add chilled butter cubes and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.
  6. Place crackers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Let cool completely before serving.
